TMBG'S ABC'S (My 1st Arts Section)

Remember They Might Be Giants? Turns out they never went anywhere and I have missed some great stuff. They are set to release their second 'family' album, "Here Come the ABC's" along with a DVD full of puppets and other alphabet accessories. The videos are also being featured on the Disney Channel during Playhouse Disney. They recorded the theme song to P.D.'s 'Higglytown heroes', did some promos for children's programming on PBS and won an Emmy for the theme song to 'Malcomn in the Middle'. I'm not sure where the hell I was, but they've been busy. In addition to all of that they have been doing some shows with some of the best young authors around, including a favorite of mine, Dave Eggers (even though his magazine won't publish me) http://www.mcsweeneys.net/authorpages/eggers/eggers.html. Look for TMGB on their tour of bookstores promoting ABC's with FREE shows! Also, Eggers has a few books out now, all worth your time, but if you don't read 'A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius' then you are doing yourself an injustice. So there you go, the arts section.
