Come Home...

...says Disney. They are getting ready to celebrate 50 years, which means many of us have never known life without the utopia that is Disneyland. Can you imagine that? Forget for a moment the corporate money-making machine aspect of it and think about why it is able to make that money- magic. Yes, I said it. There is just something about walking through the tunnel onto Mainstreet U.S.A., that regardless of your age, your problems, your whatever- makes you a kid again- happy, innocent and carefree.
On May 4th, Disneyland will, for the first time as far as I can gather, be closed. Sorry folks, parks closed. Moose out front should have told you. Why? Because they are doing some crazy stuff that requires more than 7 hours of guest-free time. On May 5th, it will open anew and the fun will begin. Will it be crazy? Yes. Will it be impossible to do anything? Probably. Will we be there? Definitely.
We're talking a slice of Americana here people. Where else would we be?
So why am I posting this now? Because there are so many new things happening it is going to take a month to post them. Stay tuned for updates (don't worry, my usual rants will be here too).
