Disneyland, Halloween, & The People Who Love Them
We spent Halloween at Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure. It was a gas(p).
The parks were decorated with touches of Autumn and Halloween, namely Jack-o-Lantern's of every color, shape and size.
Costumes were everywhere, on Goofy, on Cast Members, on parents and kids. We, meaning Tricia and I, didn't dress up, but we felt a little guilty about it. We will next year. There were a lot of themes, whole families with grandparents, aunts, uncles, babies, all dressing as characters from one particular Disney or family movie. Many of them very creative.
The actual Halloween party in DCA was well organized, fun and safe, exactly what you would expect from Disney. The kids had a blast, and frankly we did too.
Disney, not being one to mess around, made lots of changes between 10:30 pm Halloween night, and 10 am November 1st. Candy corn had become candy canes, and patches of pumpkins were already being replaced with wreaths and ribbons. Time, as you know, is of the essence. That being the case, if you haven't been there at Christmas time you need to go. It's a jolly old time.
